Olympia Lamplighters is a local non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping local artists of all genres in supporting themselves with their art and to tear down the barriers between artists and non-artists to help create a community where everyone inspires each other. We have a co-working space and individual desks with an art gallery, recording room, and stage area, in addition to having art classes, dances, music shows, and drag shows. We are located at 211 4th Ave E in Downtown Olympia.
Olympia Lamplighters has free nights on all Tuesdays to allow people to come in and practice their art. In addition we also have many different classes that are ramping up, including our weekly Figure Drawing class, as well as dances. One of these dances is a donation only LGBTQ+ dance the first Saturday of every month. We are also in the process of starting up a monthly drag show on the 2nd Saturdays of every month and are planning on having some drag classes as well. Inside Olympia Lamplighters we have a recording booth for any type of audio recording, including voice acting, recording family histories, musical recordings and podcasts. We also have the stage where we have had a live music show and are planning more.
