Jill Deering Named OlyFed Employee of the Quarter

Olympia Federal Savings is proud to announce Jill Deering, Senior Loan Closer, as Employee of the Quarter.

Deering was chosen by her peers for this honor because of her incredible efforts with the development and testing of the bank’s new digital consumer loan program and e-closing platform and for her leadership and care for the professional advancement and growth of her colleagues. Deering has been instrumental in providing thoughtful and insightful feedback, asking great questions, and offering detailed suggestions for system enhancements and procedure improvements for the bank’s new digital loan products.

On top of all of that, Deering has completed all of HMDA audits for the loan department, while supporting the learning and development of the loan department’s newer employees. Deering is a master at closing loans and was recently promoted to Senior Loan Closer as a direct result of the quality and accuracy of her work and her commitment to moving mountains to exceed customer expectations.

Beyond all these amazing qualities and contributions, Deering is also dedicated to her own development and takes initiative to stay on top of her continuing education to maintain her LPO designation. Deering doesn’t stop there though, she often takes additional courses in the lending compliance arena to make sure she stays a knowledgeable resource for the bank and more specifically her team. Deeing is always sure to share the learning that she takes away from each course she takes for the betterment of her team.
