Thurston County Candidate Filing Week Begins May 16

If you plan on running for office in 2022, Candidate Filing week is May 16 – 20. Potential candidates are encouraged to file online.  

Candidates can file for office using one of these options:

·         File online at ThurstonVotes.org (credit cards accepted) from May 16 at 9 a.m. to May 20 at 4 p.m.

·         Drive-Thru & In-person services available 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at:

All candidate filings and filing fees must be received by 4:30 p.m. Friday May 20.  

Filing fees vary for each elected position. You can find filing fees for each position at ThurstonVotes.org.  There is no filing fee for Precinct Committee Officer. Please consult the Candidate Guide and other materials on our website for more information.   

The order of candidates on the ballot will be determined by random lot draw shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 20. The drawing will be held at the Elections Office and will be streaming live via Facebook Live. Visit facebook.com/TCAuditor
