NW Momentum Health Partners (NWMHP) Accountable Care Organization (ACO) achieved $11M in gross savings for the 2020 reporting year in the Next Generation Accountable Care Organization Model. NWMHP ACO retained its 94.25% quality rating from 2019, as allowed via the Public Health Emergency waiver.

The Next Generation ACO Model was launched in 2016 by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The Model allows NWMHP to set predictable financial targets, enables providers and beneficiaries’ greater opportunities to coordinate care, and aims to attain the highest quality standards of care.

The goal of the Next Generation ACO Model is to test whether strong financial incentives for ACOs, coupled with tools to support better patient engagement and care management, can improve health outcomes and lower expenditures for Original Medicare fee-for-service (FFS) beneficiaries.

“We are committed to being a national leader in healthcare innovation to provide value and high- quality care to Medicare beneficiaries. Through the hard work of our network of nearly 1,000 providers across Washington and Idaho, NW Momentum Health Partners ACO has achieved a track record of success. We look forward to building on our achievements in the coming years.” – Melanie Matthews, CEO of PSW.
