Local agency supports women & families in the workplace
Local nonprofit TOGETHER! has been selected as the 2015 YWCA of Olympia Business of Achievement for their active support of women and families in the workplace, leadership development and commitment to racial & gender equity, which strongly aligns with the YWCA mission to eliminate racial and gender inequity and advance the social and economic status of all women and girls.
TOGETHER! was selected for many reasons including offering flexible work schedules to meet the needs of their employees, a children-at-work program that provides the flexibility required for families, dedication to leadership development & career advancement and employment & Board recruitment practices which engage women and communities of color.
The YWCA of Olympia invites community members to celebrate TOGETHER! and all of the 2015 Honorees (Khurshida Begum, Kristin Jacobsen, Barbara Clarkson, Marsha Tadano Long & Kimberly Perry) during their November 5th celebration at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts. The evening keynote will be provided by Race & Gender Justice Activist, Nontombi Naomi Tutu.
Tickets can be purchased at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts (WCPA) Box Office (512 Washington St SE, Olympia) or online at www.olytix.org or by calling 360-753-8586
