Learn, Laugh, Perform! Olympia Family Theater is your community partner in raising imaginative, loving, joyful and confident children. Our educational programs provide opportunities for personal development for young people, teaching creativity and responsibility, encouraging teamwork and personal integrity, and fostering self-esteem and appreciation for the performing arts.
This winter break Olympia Family Theater is building theater camps around treasured winter stories and animal silliness! We have two weeks of 3-day camp options this year. Each week has a full day option for ages 7-13 and a half day option for ages 5 & 6. There will be new material introduced each week….so, register for one or both weeks!
Week 1 – Dec 19-21 (Wed-Fri)
Half Day– Snowy Day
9:30am- 12pm
Ages 5 & 6
Come and join a small boy named Peter as he discovers the joy of a snowy day. Our youngest campers learn to use their voices, bodies, and imaginations to tell a story for the stage. On the last day of camp family and friends join us for a showcase celebration.

Full Day – Jack Frost: Winter Myths & Legends
9am- 3pm
Ages 7-13
Explore winter stories, characters and the magic of making theater in this fun-filled three-day camp. Students will create their own wintery world incorporating real characters from myths and legends as they learn about character development and the skill of storytelling. On the last day of camp, students will share what they’ve created in a performance for family and friends.

Week 2 – Dec 26-28 (Wed-Fri)
Half Day – Mother Goose’s Pajama Party
9:30am- 12pm
Ages 5 & 6
Join the fun alongside all your favorite characters from nursery rhymes as our youngest campers practice telling stories through movement, rhyme, and creative play. On the last day of camp, students will perform for friends and family.

Full Day – Plenty of Penguins
9am- 3pm
Ages 7-13
Walk, talk and perform like a penguin. In this three day exploration of penguins, performance and the art of putting together a show. Students will dive into the world of creating characters and working as an ensemble. On the last day of camp, students will share what they’ve created in a performance for family and friends.
