On Friday, June 5, Wells Fargo and Military Warriors Support Foundation donated a mortgage-free home to a veteran in Lacey, Washington.
Congratulations to Retired U.S. Army SSG Joseph Posey and his family! Retired U.S. Army Staff Sargent Joseph Posey served from 2004 through 2014. During his career, he completed two deployments, one to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (2004-2005), and to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (2011-2012). He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Army Commendation with Valor during his tour in Iraq, among many other awards he received during his career.
Wells Fargo and the Military Warriors Support Foundation are committed to helping veterans who are wounded while serving their country. Wells Fargo donates homes to MWSF for use in their Homes4WoundedHeroes and Homes4GoldStars programs.
In 2012, Wells Fargo committed $35 million in three years to support veterans in the areas of housing, career transition and customized financial education with $30 million of it earmarked for property donations. Wells Fargo has donated more than 230 properties, valued at more than $37 million, that have been awarded to veterans.
