The Arts Make Better Communities!
In communities large and small, arts and culture are important contributors to the quality of life for residents. With the voter-approved Metropolitan Park District in place, there is now additional funding for parks facilities maintenance and enhanced recreation programming – including cultural arts. The City of Tumwater is in the early stages of developing a Cultural Arts Plan. A group of 30 community arts leaders has been convened as the initial task force to serve as the oversight for this work.
Tumwater’s Cultural Arts Task Force is gathering information about cultural resources and programs in Tumwater, including those related to the arts, culture, history, education, and community. We will use the information to craft a cultural arts plan for our community and to learn how to support, promote, and grow Tumwater’s arts and cultural offerings.
If you live, work, or just spend time in Tumwater, please take a few minutes to complete the Cultural Arts Plan Survey, available on the City website: www.ci.tumwater.wa.us/arts-
