The Thurston Economic Development Council Center for Business & Innovation presents a Local Investment Showcase. This showcase highlights both the new Thurston Investment Network (ThINk) and three businesses affiliated with Downtown Olympia’s 222 Market who are seeking local investors.
ThINk is a growing network of individuals, “members”, who have a desire to have a local component to their investment portfolio. ThINk provides an opportunity for its members to invest some of their money in what they know and can see–local businesses that add to the vibrancy of the Thurston economy. Network members are provided opportunities to connect with local businesses who have expressed interest in local capital.
ThINk is always open to new members. There is NO MEMBERSHIP FEE or cost to businesses who wish to present to ThINk members and NO REQUIREMENT for members to invest or lend funds. Loan amounts, interest rates and payback time periods are all negotiated directly between the individual member and the business owner. Transactions and terms are determined entirely by the two parties. Both parties must exercise due diligence and recognize the inherent risks.

The first part of this event will begin at 5:00 pm. It is a gathering opportunity to network with fellow engaged community members, experience the businesses inside the 222 Market through samples of their products, and hear a short presentation on the Investment Network.
At 6:30 pm, attendees who are interested in becoming Members of the Thurston Investment Network will gather inside the Creperie and attend a short training prior to the opportunity to listen to pitches from 222 Market affiliated businesses seeking capital from members of our own local community.
