Top Local Businesses to be awarded on March 31
The Thurston Economic Development Council (EDC) announced today that it accepting nominations for its annual Business Recognition Awards. This will be the 31st consecutive year that the EDC has spotlighted businesses and organizations that demonstrate significant contributions to the health and vitality of the Thurston County economy. The Thurston EDC requests nominations for recognition of business excellence in each of the following categories:
- New Business
- Small Business
- Corporate Employer
- Nonprofit Organization
Members of the community can nominate local businesses for their great work in the community while in business in 2015. To learn more about the nomination criteria, please click here. Nominations will be accepted through Friday, February 5, 2016 at 5:00 pm. The Business Recognition awards event will be held on March 31, 2016 from 11:00 – 1:30 pm at the Red Lion Hotel, 2300 Evergreen Park Drive SW in Olympia.
Winners of the 2014 Business Recognition Awards include:
- Non-Profit Organization of the Year: Family Education & Support Services
- New Business of the Year: Miss Moffett’s Mystical Cupcakes
- Small Business of the Year: Dirty Dave’s Pizza Parlor
- Corporate Employer of the Year: Alaffia
