Thurston Economic Development Council Center for Business & Innovation (CB&I) is launching ScaleUp 2018. ScaleUp is transformative training series for business owners to gain greater success and profitability. The ScaleUp Training Series consists of three, 4-session courses: Business TuneUp, Build Your Market and Financial Mastery.
The 2018 series kicks off January 18 with TuneUp, which is designed for business owners who want to work smarter, not harder. It helps build critical skills and introduces a set of tools for improving the way they organize, operate and manage their business, creating a solid platform for growth.
The Business TuneUp course is designed to help business owners:
- Think more strategically
- Develop systems to operate with greater efficiency
- Identify key metrics for better decision-making
- Improve profitability
- Enhance relationships with employees
- Work fewer hours & enjoy more personal time
- Take vacations without having to worry about their business
Over 65 established businesses have participated in TuneUp since its debut in 2016. Surveys show that 100% of participants found the training to be of great value to their business and would recommend it to colleagues. TuneUp graduate Marty Marstrom, owner of Meridian Care Home, stated “The TuneUp training has given me the tools to create a more efficient business. For years my business has consumed my life – I worked every position, 7 days a week 24 hours a day and rarely had time off. TuneUp has shown me how to implement systems and put together a team. I have now taken the role of the CEO and our company practically runs itself.”
The other ScaleUp Series courses will follow TuneUp, with Build Your Market starting in March and Financial Mastery in April.
Businesses within the Cities of Olympia and Lacey can register for TuneUp and the other two courses at no cost, thanks to funding from the cities in support of local business success (limited to available funds). Otherwise, TuneUp is $395 and the full 4-part, 16-week ScaleUp Series is $795.
