Thurston County Food Bank Opportunity

The American Red Cross – Northwest Region in agreement with the Thurston County Foodbank, are committed to ensuring the safety of all volunteers during the COVID-19 pandemic. These safety measures will be detailed in a safety briefing prior to their arrival at the volunteer site AND include the following: no direct client contact or direct client facing activities, minimal number of volunteers in the facility, mandatory use of face coverings and use of gloves, hand sanitizer, etc to ensure everyone’s safety.

We are also asking in order to ensure communication with the foodbank, that we are aware of each volunteer and asking they sign up for their shift prior to their arrival at the site. The best way for individuals to sign up is to first complete the application at this link and second to email daniel.wirth@redcross.org & kathryn.prettyman@redcross.org, notifying them of their completed application & their preferred shifts. This will expedite the process and help to ensure everyone’s safety during this uncertain time.
