The Thurston Chamber’s INNOVATE the Workplace workshop series continues in May, focusing on diversity, equity and inclusion. Attendees will gain skills to break down racial and cultural barriers and understand how cultivating a sense of belonging will create an atmosphere in which everyone can thrive.
This pandemic has been devastating for the entire economy, but it has been small and midsize businesses—as well as lower-skilled and lower-wage workers, workers of color, women, and younger workers—who have shouldered the heaviest burdens in this economic downturn. Building an inclusive economic recovery starts with investing in America’s workers. Now more than ever, significant investments and common-sense reforms are essential to ensure that America’s workforce system delivers for both businesses and workers.
Join Rob Garcia from National Skills Coalition for a conversation about how your business can play an outsized role in shaping an equitable, adaptable, and demand-driven workforce system, so that every worker and every business can thrive in a stronger economy.
