This summer Saint Martin’s University is hosting three outstanding undergraduate students from Egypt on a prestigious scholarship called LOTUS (Leadership Opportunities Transforming University Students). During the summer, students will have an opportunity to gain experience in their field of study through an internship. This year we have two Business students (Finance and Economics) and one Computer Science student. We are seeking companies/organizations who would be interested in hosting any of these students as an intern.
The LOTUS Scholarship Program is highly competitive, which offers comprehensive scholarship packages to talented and deserving Egyptian students. They will obtain undergraduate degrees from private Egyptian universities in fields of study that are important to Egypt’s current and future development. The program seeks to identify and empower young women and men who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and involvement in their communities. They aim to develop prepared and equipped future leaders and advocates for development in Egypt. For more information, visit https://www.iie.org/Programs/USAID-LOTUS-Scholarship-Program-English.
The internships should start on June 11th and last for 10 weeks (~8 hrs per week) and we hope to confirm internship placements by mid-May. For more information, please contact Lan Le via 360-438-4504 or email. Thank you for your consideration!
