Focus on the Future – TOGETHER! The name says a lot. This year we are honored to partner with Evergreen Council on Problem Gambling, a locally based non-profit that is dedicated to increasing awareness of public health issues around gambling and gaming, expanding the availability and integration of services, and supporting advocacy, research, and programs for education, prevention, and responsible gambling and gaming.
Focus on the Future – TOGETHER! combines the best of the annual conferences both our organizations have offered over the years, providing valuable insights on the tools and resources available for effective prevention, treatment, and community engagement.
The 2017 combined conference,
Focus on the Future -TOGETHER! For Healthy Communities will be held April 24-27, 2017 in Olympia, WA.
Attendees will have the opportunity to attend sessions on many different topics, including:
* innovative trends and topics in gambling and gaming
* internet and video game addiction, treatment, and prevention
* community resiliency
* advocacy strategies
* issues around opioids, tobacco, and marijuana in the community
* therapeutic justice
* homelessness and community service models.
