Tacoma, Wash. – Premier Media Group, a locally owned and operated publishing and live-events company founded in 2001, recently purchased the assets of Tacoma-based Business Examiner Media, including the company’s South Sound BIZ magazine, its Daily Biz Briefs e-newsletter, and its live recognition events.
Business Examiner Media was founded in 1985 by Jeff and Jill Rounce, who have overseen the publication of roughly 850 issues of South Sound BIZ and its predecessor, the Business Examiner newspaper.
“Our plans are to continue, and build upon, the tremendous legacy the Rounces have established with their company over the years,” Premier Media’s president and founder Josh Dunn said. “We are excited to start a new chapter in the South Sound with a business publication and give South Sound Biz a breath of fresh air similar to our other publications. The South Sound business community continues to grow and we are excited to add a business publication and the additional assets that accompany it so we can continue to serve our community the news it desires.”
Those PMG assets include the bi-monthly South Sound lifestyle magazine, as well as two publications that serve the Eastside: the lifestyle publication 425 magazine and the business-focused 425 Business magazine.
