With great pleasure, Physicians of Southwest Washington (PSW) appoints Buffy Howard as the new Vice President of Innovative Payer Models. Howard will oversee PSW’s Accountable Care Organization, NW Momentum Health Partners ACO (NWMHP). NWMHP participates in several federal healthcare delivery models that aim to achieve better care for patients, better health for our communities and lower costs through improvement for our health care system.

Buffy’s strong experience will enable us to expand our footprint and engagement with healthcare providers.” noted Tamara Schaffert, Chief Operating Officer for PSW. Howard has 20+ years of executive level health care operations experience and currently serves as a vice president on multiple local boards. She is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master’s in Business Administration and Management.
Howard is married with two children and enjoys reading and exercising in her spare time.
