The Board of Directors of Panorama announced the retirement of Joseph J. Di Santo, President and Chief Executive Officer, effective August 1, 2016 and establishment of Bill Strader and Matthew Murry as an innovate co-executive leadership team.
Di Santo came to Panorama in 1996 assuming leadership of the Lacey-based Continuing Care Retirement Community after a national search. Over the past two decades, Di Santo has led a progressive transformation of Panorama. Today Panorama is not only financially healthy and viable but the addition of new facilities include a state of the art Aquatic and Fitness Center, a 200 seat multi use Theater and Auditorium and new 155 bed skilled nursing facility rated 5 stars by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
In preparation for Di Santo’s retirement the Board of Directors has guided the transition of leadership to a new Co-Executive Leadership Team. The Board announced that Bill Strader, current Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will take on the role of Chief Executive Officer/Chief Financial Officer while Matthew Murry, current Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, will assume the role of President/Chief Operating Officer. Both leaders are long time members of the leadership staff at Panorama.

Joe has served Panorama for 20 years with distinction, vision and heart. The Board will always be grateful for his exemplary service. As many have noted to us, Mr. DiSanto will be a hard act to follow. And we agree.
Murry and Strader together represent more than three decades of leadership experience at Panorama. The innovative Co-Executive Leadership Plan allows Panorama to continue its ongoing development as one of the most progressive retirement communities in the country. Building on Di Santo’s background in hospitality, Panorama has created with the active involvement of residents and staff a truly enriching lifestyle, attracting residents from more than 45 states and around the world.
This new structure benefits from the complementary skill sets, areas of expertise and personal strengths of both Matt and Bill. Most importantly, this Co-Executive Leadership Team model best serves the well-being of Panorama residents, our high priority, noted Goldberg.
Panorama, a not for profit Continuing Care Retirement Community, provides an active lifestyle and comprehensive spectrum of services to assure that residents enjoy a superior quality of life in an affordable, beautiful and secure setting.
