Olympia Family Theater is proud to bring this important story to the stage.
This stirring adaptation of the Newbery Award-winning book is set in Copenhagen in 1943. Young Annemarie and her family face soldiers, interrogations, fierce dogs, personal danger, and the loss of loved ones as they try to help their friend Ellen escape the Nazis across the ocean to safety in Sweden. You will see many characters show courage in the face of danger. Come experience the power of resistance and see heroic young people standing up for what is right. Witness all the drama, adventure, and humor that have made Number the Stars a national bestseller come to life on our stage. Our outstanding intergenerational cast includes 5 youth actors and 9 adults.
Olympia Family Theater’s production of Number the Stars opens Friday, January 31, 2020, and runs through February 16, 2020, and is recommended for ages 6 on up to adults. Tickets can be purchased at olyft.org or by calling the box office at 360.570.1638.
