This summer Olympia Family Theater presents The Incredible Undersea Trial of Joseph P. Lawnboy.
This interactive musical is a little bit of comedy, a little bit of science, and a whole lot of underwater adventure!
Joseph P. Lawnboy’s passion for fishing leads him underwater, where he catches his foot in a submerged grocery cart. Joe is forced to ask for help from Greta—the very fish he was trying to catch. Greta laughs at Joe’s request and calls all her underwater friends together, and Joe suddenly finds himself on trial for “Crimes against the Sea”. The audience is the jury so YOU decide the outcome, which means anything is possible!
This story explores the following scientific inquiries: What is our connection with water, and why is it important to study? What is a watershed? What effect does the dumping of litter and hazardous waste have on your watershed? What hazards can lawns and lawn maintenance present to water and aquatic species? How much water do you use in an average day?
This special presentation is sponsored by the WET Science Center. They will be tabling in our lobby with takeaway educational materials for all attendees.
This show is recommended for ages 5 & up.
Run time approximately 55 minutes.
