During the pandemic and shutdown, many artists are struggling to cover basic costs – including the cost of space for creating, rehearsing, study, exhibition and storage.
Olympia Artspace Alliance invites artists in Thurston County to apply for funding to support the costs related to their space needs – including but not limited to rent, utilities, space repairs, storage unit rental, shelving, storage containers and ADA accommodations. These grants are not intended to support launching a new project or to be used for buying new equipment or supplies.
In spring 2021, OAA intends to provide four (4) Space Grants of $500 each to Thurston County artists to offset space-related costs incurred April-June 2021. These grants are made possible by a grant from ArtsWA/Washington State Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts. With additional support, OAA hopes to extend this grant program in the future. For more details and the application, visit https://www.olympiaartspace.org/space-grants.
APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY FRIDAY, APRIL 9 AT 5:00 P.M. PDT
