NR Smith & Associates is pleased to announce that Daniel Mortensen has become the newest NR Smith & Associates stockholder, effective January 1, 2016.
Dan joined NR Smith in April of 2012 as a Staff Accountant. After earning his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, he became a Senior Auditor and eventually was promoted to Director of Accounting and Auditing.
A graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in business administration and accounting, he worked in the construction industry for many years before moving to public accounting. During that time he earned the Construction Quality Control Management for Contractors (CQM-C) designation while managing field work on multiple projects for a mid-sized construction company.
In addition to being a CPA, Dan is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He will continue on in his role as Director of Accounting and Auditing.
