The Olympia & Beyond Sports Commission, a division of Experience Olympia & Beyond, presents the fourth annual Sports Awards. The awards recognize local athletes, coaches and game changers in our community.
Community members can nominate high school, college and recreational athletes or coaches for one of seven awards. Sports community leaders and influencers are also eligible for awards.
“We’re looking forward to continuing to recognize and celebrate our sports community this year. With so many sports modified, postponed and even cancelled, the Sports Awards give us an avenue to show these athletes, coaches, leaders and influencers that their community is behind them,” Jeff Bowe, Interim Executive Director for the Olympia & Beyond Sports Commission said.
Nominations are open until June 30, 2021, and can be submitted online.
A Sports Commission Advisory Committee comprised of local individuals who have an interest in the local sports community review all nominations. Winners will be announced at a virtual event later in the fall.
