Each year, the Nisqually Tribe awards funds to local area non-profits as part of its Charitable and Local Government Program. The funds used are a portion of gaming revenues generated by the Nisqually Red Wind Casino, the tribes Gaming Enterprise. The program encourages and supports the work that these local non-profits are doing and reinforces the tribes commitment to giving back to the local community.
Over the past 5 years, the tribes Charitable and Local Government Program has awarded more than $8.5M in vital funding to local area non-profit organizations.
To qualify for funding, the organization must be registered as a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service. While applications are accepted for organizations throughout Washington State, the local Thurston County Area remains high priority, and any remaining funds are then considered for allocation outside of the Thurston County area.
Non-profit organizations interested in applying for funds may download the application packet on the tribes website www.nisqually-nsn.gov and clicking on the “Charitable Funds” box. You may also receive more information by emailing: Charitables@nisqually-nsn.gov
Applications are due by October 29, 2021.
