An absolute bash of a two-day fest on the weekend of September 14 and 15, LOCALS ONLY showcases the Pacific Northwest film community in a celebration of discount 35mm lenses, DIY light bounces, and running out of SD cards. Independent filming is a tough job, and PNW filmmakers show their best work at the Capitol Theater. Highlights will include a short film showcase followed by a panel, a workshop with Puyallup filmmaker Sylas Dall, and a local feature or two! LOCALS ONLY strives to be both a showcase and learning opportunity for local filmmakers and lovers of the art form.
Submissions for PNW filmmakers close on August 25th.
Locals Only is hosted at the Capitol Theater, a 1924 concert and movie palace owned and operated by the Olympia Film Society. This organization supports a small staff and board of directors along with over 125 dedicated volunteers who select films, organize events, and run the Capitol Theater.
