Kitson Boards is partnering with Clover Park Technical College in Tacoma WA. Kitson Boards uses 100% carbon fiber in it’s manufacturing. Due to a lack of experienced workers, Kitson Boards has had to train all it’s employees in all aspects of the job. This is a costly process.
Clover Park has a world class program to educate students in the theory and handling of carbon fiber. In addition, the students actually get hands on experience. Many firms likes Boeing and BMW, as well their sub contractors hire the graduates of the program. Students will be encouraged to tour our factory and see the various steps to our manufacturing.
Kitson Boards is hiring 120 production workers over the next 5 years to meet it’s production goals. All of them will be handling carbon fiber and therefore this partnership is a great advantage for us and gives the college greater confidence to expand the new program.
Kitson Boards has developed Patents Pending technology that is applicable to thousands of other products. Shortly, we will be expanding our products to include products for the Automotive and Defense industries. The above picture shows the factory when we started our “proof of production” stage. Things have changed a lot since then! We offer free tours to the public Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4pm. Saturday and Sunday by appointment only. Call us at 360-878-9526 and book yours today.
