The Sweetest Things, a local artisan gift boutique that empowers women in business and the community, is partnering with the Kara Lynn Foundation during the month of May. The Kara Lynn Foundation benefits youth experiencing epilepsy and other neurological disorders. Customers can help during the month of May in the following ways:
- Kara Lynn Clothing will be available at The Sweetest Things, proceeds of which go to the Kara Lynn Foundation. This clothing line includes such positive messages as “Be Kind. Be True. Be Strong. Be You,” and “I have a disability. What’s your superpower?”. Products for adults and children will be available.
- Kara will be kayaking 70 miles from Boston Harbor to Gig Harbor and around Vashon Island and back. You can make a pledge-per-mile at The Sweetest Things to support Kara and the Kara Lynn Foundation.
- 20% of every sale of Lemon Lavendar cupcakes from Miss Moffett’s Mystical Cupcakes sold at The Sweetest Things every Saturday will go to the Kara Lynn Foundation.
Be sure to also attend the Kara Lynn Info Day at The Sweetest Things on Wednesday, May 9 from 12-2p!
There will also be a support group meeting on Tuesday, May 29 from 10a-12p for those affected by epilepsy or other neurological disorders.
