KAOS 89.3 FM Olympia Community Radio kicks off its Fall Membership Drive on Friday, September 25, 2015. The one-week drive will end Thursday, October 1, 2015.
New supporters and renewing KAOS members are invited to contribute to the public radio station’s drive goal of $10,000. All funds raised during this drive will be used to support the programming and operational activities of KAOS Olympia Community Radio. Since 1973, KAOS has remained the South Sound’s only full-time, full-power commercial-free public radio service, offering a wide range of independent music, local and global news, and community information. The station streams its broadcasting live on the World Wide Web, at www.kaosradio.org, and can now also be heard on TUNE IN and SOUND TAP aps for your smart phone. You can also listen ‘on demand’ as KAOS is currently archiving shows for up to two weeks via RADIOFREEAMERICA.com.
During the drive, KAOS listeners can call in their support to the station’s main studio line at (360) 867-5267 (867-KAOS), or they can join online by visiting the KAOS Web site at www.kaosradio.org. Contributions can also be mailed to: KAOS, CAB 101, 2700 Evergreen Pkwy NW, Olympia, WA 98505.
One of Thurston County’s largest volunteer-based organizations, KAOS is programmed by a staff of nearly 100 student and community volunteers. With varied perspectives and sensibilities, KAOS continues to be a unique resource for information and entertainment often ignored by major media.
