The Olympia Film Society is proud to announce the JAY AND SILENT BOB REBOOT ROADSHOW this January 14th at the historic Capitol Theater.
Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes are coming to Olympia to show their latest and greatest motion picture, the star-studded Jay and Silent Bob Reboot! The New Jersey stoner icons who first hit the screen 25 years ago in Clerks are back! When Jay and Silent Bob discover that Hollywood is rebooting an old movie based on them, the clueless duo embark on another cross-country mission to stop it all over again!
Kevin Smith has been saying silly cinematic stuff since his first film Clerks, released way back in 1994. He had a heart attack and almost died last year but survived solely so he could direct his magnum opus, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. A polygamist, he’s married to both his wife Jen and podcasting.
Jason Edward Mewes is an American television and film actor, film producer and internet radio show host. He is best known for playing Jay, the vocal half of the duo Jay and Silent Bob, in longtime friend Kevin Smith’s films.
The Capitol Theater has served as an artistic hub for the arts in Olympia since its beginnings as a vaudeville stage in 1924. The theater serves as a space where the Olympia community gathers in order to connect, empower, and support the arts.
