(Olympia, WA) – FirstLight HomeCare, a leading provider of quality, affordable in-home care in the South Sound, announced today they have added a Care Coordinator to the management team.
We are elated that Callie Martinez has joined FirstLight as our Care Coordinator,” said Sarah Lane, the owner of FirstLight HomeCare. “She not only brings a wealth of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), but she is also a tremendous mentor to other professional caregivers and a recognized leader in the caregiving community.”
Lane said she added Martinez to help manage the tremendous growth experienced by FirstLight HomeCare over the last year.
“At FirstLight, our focus is first and foremost on our clients and their families,” Lane explained. “We help the people we serve continue to live at home safely and comfortably with dignity and respect. We’re very proud of our compassionate and trained professional caregivers and their commitment to client satisfaction and quality care.
“The fact that we have added so many new clients over the past few months that we need an additional coordinator to manage our growing number of caregivers, I think, signifies that people in the community are really recognizing that we are providing the highest possible care they can find for their loved ones,” she added.
Originally from Grays Harbor, Martinez has worked as a licensed caregiver since 2005 and most recently was the Assistant Manager at Olympic Home Care, which closed at the end of October. However, it was caring for her mother that introduced Martinez to what would become her professional calling.
“I was the caregiver for my mother until she passed,” said Martinez, a married mother of six who also speaks fluent Spanish. “I am very proud of being a caregiver. It’s my life and really, who I am. That’s why I expect such high standards from the caregivers I train and supervise, because the people we care for deserve to be treated with compassion, dignity and respect.”
