Introducing the Governor’s Cellar
The Governor Hotel restaurant has been closed for many years and its return has been awaited by all those with a nostalgia for the good old days. Introducing, the Governor’s Cellar!
Ryan Kang, the General Manager, has been in search for the perfect fit for the space and it looks like he has found just the perfect partner to open The Governor’s Cellar. Lanette Miles, with Contessa Catering, has been in the Food and beverage industry for 17 years with industry experience at several upscale resorts such as the Royal Hawaiian, in Oahu, The Kapalua Bay hotel in Maui and the Ritz Carlton in Phoenix, Arizona. Her childhood in Olympia combined with her work experience, results in Lanette’s intimate understanding just what to bring to the Olympia Downtown market.
“Our food will take you on a culinary adventure you and your friends are sure to never forget! It’s very important to us that our food is both gorgeous and tastes amazing. We have a customized approach with the warmth of a team who genuinely cares about your food experience. Our warm, attentive staff is excited to serve Olympia,” says the Chef, Lanette Miles.
Lanette has already impressed hotel guests and event groups and accolades are already being heard. The restaurant space is currently being renovated to give a rustic feel to serve Contemporary American accompanied with an alcohol bar to serve local beers and wine. The Governor Hotel has moved its breakfast to the Legislative Meeting Space temporarily. The Governor’s Cellar anticipates opening Christmas Week 2016 and will make The Governor Hotel the only full-service hotel facility in the downtown area.
“I know we’ve all been waiting for this and we are all very excited to see this happening,” says Eunice Kang, the Sales Manager at The Governor Hotel.
The opening of The Governor’s Cellar is surely a great addition to the Olympia downtown for the Holiday Season and beyond. Be sure to check out The Governor’s Cellar for your holiday dinner!
