The Gonzalo Bergara Quartet brings its own jazz flair to the 2015-16 SPSCC Jazz Series opening on Friday, Sept. 25.
The all-acoustic Gonzalo Bergara Quartet plays a modern variant of 1930s Django Reinhardt-inspired gypsy jazz. Composer and lead guitarist Gonzalo Bergara mixes a cascade of arpeggios with the sounds of Paris and his native Argentina.
Tickets are $25 for general admission, and $20 for SPSCC students, staff, and faculty, and for non-SPSCC students. The event will include a wine tasting for guests 21-years-old and older.
Additionally, a guitar workshop with Bergara will be offered the afternoon of the performance. Registration for the workshop is available at http://tinyurl.com/SPSCCJazzGuitarWorkshop.
Tickets for the performance are available online at OlyTix.org.
