Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders: Launch of Youth Leadership Thurston County

Today marks the official launch of Leadership Thurston County’s new youth program, which is in partnership with the New Market Skills Center and aims to engage high school students in exploring career opportunities while touring Thurston County. 

For the 2024 summer session, all high school students enrolled in one of the 13 programs offered through New Market Skills Center will have the opportunity to explore their summer school program industry through a day of site visits and tours throughout the county.  

Each program day includes 3-5 site visits and tours, during which students will meet with experienced professionals who are passionate about guiding and inspiring the next generation of community leaders.

Many individuals sponsored a student to ensure all students had an opportunity to participate at no cost to them or to New Market Skills Center.
