Today, more than ever, our elected officials need to hear from the business community and Chamber members.
The State Legislature is in session and must address a multitude of statewide issues including tax policy and resources for mental health, education, transportation and the environment. City Councils, the County and Port Commissions are meeting regularly to address pressing local issues such as homelessness, housing, land use and development, public safety, and economic development. There is no shortage of challenges and issues at the State and local level that depend on quality input from citizens.
The Public Policy Division encourages Chamber members to contact our elected officials to voice your concerns and ideas on any and all topics. They need to hear from us. They want to hear from us. And we share the responsibility of ensuring that our elected officials receive accurate and timely information so that they can make informed and balanced decisions.
