A current board member for the Thurston County Bar Association and past board of directors’ president for United Way has joined the law firm of Phillips Burgess.
Trevor Zandell, a 2005 summa cum laude graduate of Gonzaga University School of Law, has been practicing law in the Olympia area for nearly a decade. The newest member of the Phillips Burgess team will focus his practice in the areas of real estate, construction, landlord-tenant, and business law.
“I could not be more pleased to be joining one of the most vibrant, fastest-growing local law firms,” Zandell said in a recent interview. “Phillips Burgess has a team of talented attorneys with a broad range of legal and industry experience in business, real estate, and environmental law. I am privileged and excited to add my civil litigation skills to the group.”
An associate attorney with Olympia’s Swanson Law Firm prior to assuming his new position, the Central Washington University alumnus provided legal counsel to hundreds of individuals, families, and businesses, most of them Thurston County residents.
“Olympia is a thriving city with a diverse mix of business and governmental entities,” Zandell noted. “I have thoroughly enjoyed practicing here since 2007 and have every intention of calling Olympia home for the foreseeable future.”
While building an impressive legal practice, Zandell has been active in an array of local industry and charitable groups, as well. In addition to his leadership roles with the county’s Bar Association and United Way of Thurston County, he serves on the board of directors of SafePlace and as a volunteer attorney with the Thurston County Economic Development Council. He also holds membership in the Washington Landlord Association and the Thurston County Chamber of Commerce.
