Tumwater Valley Golf Club opened on July 16, 1970, after being under construction for two years. As originally quoted in The Olympian advertisement promoting the opening, Tumwater Valley featured “tree-lined fairways, four sparkling, spring-fed lakes, as well as the [Deschutes] River.” If anything, the intervening fifty years have only made the golf course more beautiful.
