South Puget Sound Community College opens its 2015-16 Artist and Lecture Series with award-winning actor BD Wong, one of America’s most versatile performers. Wong will be at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts Mainstage on Thursday, Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m.
Wong’s lecture, “All the World’s a Stage: From Exclusion to Inclusion,” traces his journey from rejection and self-hatred to embracing his multiple identities. Wong has starred in such TV series as “Oz” and “Law & Order: SVU.” Most recently he appeared on the big screen in “Jurassic World,” and was also in the first “Jurassic Park” film.
Tickets for BD Wong are $10 for general admission, (which includes a $3 Washington Center service fee), and the event is free to all SPSCC staff, faculty and students. Tickets will be available online at OlyTix.org or by calling The Washington Center for the Performing Arts box office at 360-753-8586. The event is sponsored by The Community Foundation of South Puget Sound.
