Featuring Northwest wines, brews, and hard ciders
It’s time to experience all that Cascadia brewers, cider makers, and vintners have to offer at the third annual Savor South Sound, taking place on Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1 from 5:00 – 10:00 p.m., during the Thurston County Fair.
This two-day event will feature over a dozen local producers with a focus on unique recipes, blends and techniques with a Pacific Northwest touch. You can sample creations from Puget Sound favorites like Three Magnets Brewing, Fish Tale Ales, Whitewood Cider Co., Top Rung Brewing, Stottle Winery, Cloquallum Vineyards, Seattle Cider Company, Two Beers Brewing and more.
The Nisqually Tribe will also return this year to offer a custom menu they’ve put together especially for this event including salmon caught as part of their sustainable fishing program.
A ticket to this year’s Savor is $10 and includes a commemorative Belgian-style beer glass and two tastings. Additional tastings will also be available for purchase. Ticket price is in addition to the cost of Fair entry. The event is located at the Gazebo Green near the Food Court Stage.
The third annual Live and Local Concert Series presenting local bluegrass sensations, the Oly Mountain Boys and the Pine Hearts will also be featured at this year’s fair. Other highlights include time-honored activities like the tractor pull, judged contests, and 4-H and FFA youth showing their livestock for market sale.
