help save a life. Join Capital Mall on Friday, June 19 as the Mount Rainier Chapter of the American Red Cross
continues its “100 days of summer. 100 days of hope” campaign from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Travel plans, vacation time and busy schedules can cause blood donations to drop significantly between the Memorial Day and Labor Day holidays. The Red Cross needs to collect 38,000 blood donations every day of the year, but sees an average of two fewer donors at each summer blood drive. It also supplies nearly 40% of the nation’s blood and is the primary supplier of blood to over 60 hospitals in Washington and Oregon. Olympia community members can make a difference by giving blood—and hope—to those who need it.
