With a range of artwork as diverse as the more than 100 artists who submitted it, the annual Fine Art Postcard Exhibition returns to South Puget Sound Community College under the theme “Out of Sight.” The exhibition returns to The Gallery at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts beginning Monday, Jan. 12.
The exhibition, which runs from Jan. 12 through Feb. 20, will feature a wide variety of thematic interpretations in postcard-sized form. The pieces also include a plethora of materials and techniques used, resulting in what Gallery Coordinator Nathan Barnes calls “an amazing cross-section of the region’s creative spirit.”
A special artist’s reception will take place Friday, Jan. 16 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in The Gallery. The reception will also mark the opening of the silent auction, with each piece available for bid. The bidding will close during a special closing reception on Friday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m.
The Gallery at the Minnaert Center is open Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m. and by appointment. To schedule an appointment, contact The Gallery via email at email@example.com or call (360) 596-5527. Information about The Gallery is also available online at www.spscc.edu/gallery.
