Nominations of businesses now accepted for the Nancie Payne Workforce Excellence Award
Tumwater, Wash.: Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council (PacMtn) is accepting nominations of businesses in Thurston, Grays Harbor, Pacific, Mason and Lewis counties for the 3rd Annual Workplace Excellence Award, honoring the life and work of Nancie Payne.
The award recognizes workplace excellence and customer service, meaningful employee engagement, a constructive, diverse and progressive workforce culture and organizations that commit themselves to better business management practices to ensure successful mission achievement.

Nominations are due Thursday, November 15th, 2018. Notifications of the awards will go out on Monday, November 19th, 2018. Award presentations will be at the Regional Expo, details in the following paragraph.
The grand prize award is $1,000 and two honorable mentions will go out for a small business of 1-49 staff and for a large business of 50 or more staff. The award presentation is during the 2018 Regional Economic Forecast & Innovation Expo on December 7 at the Little Creek Casino in Shelton, WA.
About this Award and PacMtn:
The late Nancie Payne, Ph.D., was the President of the Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA) and her professional experience involved workforce, welfare, education and rehabilitation. She also served on the Board of Directors for PacMtn. Nancie was a sought-after speaker and professional development trainer across the United States and Canada in the field of adult special needs learning.
PacMtn and its Board of Directors are responsible for workforce development in the five-county area of Grays Harbor, Lewis, Pacific, Thurston and Mason Counties.
