There is no deadline to apply and applications are accepted year-round. However, in order to be recognized at the April 10, 2013 Chamber Forum, your 2012 application must be completed by March 15, 2013.

Applicant Information

Organizations may apply at any time during the year for a Green Business certification in one or more categories:

  • Buying & Selling Green
  • Energy Efficiency
  • Transportation & Commute Trip Reduction
  • Waste Reduction & Recycling
  • Water Conservation

After starting your application, you will be able to login and update your application at anytime. There is a yearly $25.00 application and materials fee to help us cover some of our costs. This fee covers YOUR costs for an entire year.

Certifications

Organizations may apply at any time during the year for a Green Business CERTIFICATION in one or more categories (Waste Reduction & Recycling, Water Conservation, Energy Efficiency, Transportation & Commute Trip Reduction, Buying & Selling Green). Applications are reviewed quarterly by the Thurston Green Business Committee and you will receive a certificate for each qualified designation at that time.

Gold Designations

Organizations that have received certification in FOUR OR MORE categories are eligible for a Green Business GOLD DESIGNATION. Gold Designations are recognized annually (usually in April) at the Thurston Chamber of Commerce Forum Luncheon.
